They are seeking a mover/driver for their home staging company. The successful candidate’s main responsibility is to transport furniture, décor, and other staging accessories to various properties, ensuring their timely and professional delivery and arrangement.
The candidate’s attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with the staging team will be key in their role. Depending on the project’s necessities, the candidate may drive a U-haul truck that is 20-26 ft long.
Among the tasks are to safely load, transport, unload furniture, decor, and staging accessories from and to various properties. Working with the staging team to position items in homes according to the design plan is another major part of the job. It is crucial to handle all staging accessories with care, so as to keep them in excellent condition during relocating and setting up.
A part of the daily routine is assisting in organizing and maintaining inventory of staging accessories, and keeping track of their condition and location. Strong communication skills are required to interact with the staging team and other movers, to boost logistics and maintain a fluid workflow.
Maintaining clean and orderly workspaces, both during transportation and at staging properties is of utmost importance. Adherence to all safety guidelines and regulations while handling heavy items and operating moving equipment is obligatory.
The staff members also assist in the assembly or disassembly of furniture and fixtures when necessary. Organization of the warehouse and packing of small decor items in bubble wrap for transport is part of their job too.
The requirements include previous experience as a mover, preferably in the home staging, furniture, or another related industry. The successful candidate must possess strong physical stamina, excellent organizational skills, great attention to detail, the ability to shoulder heavy items, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with basic tools and equipment used in moving and staging, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record with a required DMV printout are fundamental.
