Mia's Home Staging is hiring a Warehouse Specialist for Décor & Soft Goods in San Jose, CA. The company has staged over 1,500 homes across 50+ cities in the Bay Area since 2022, representing more than $2.4 billion in property listings.
The specialist will manage two sections of the warehouse: décor and accessories, and soft goods including pillows, bedding, and throws. Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Pack items selected and marked by designers, preparing them for installation the following day
- Deliver packed items to their designated staging location identified by project number, verify quantities against project paperwork, and sign off on delivery
- Return incoming items to their correct shelf location organized by style and color palette, a critical function that supports the warehouse's overall efficiency
- Wash, press, and care for pillow covers, bedding, and linens
- Clean and inspect décor items, setting aside damaged pieces for repair
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock needs replenishment
- Maintain warehouse areas and packing station in clean and organized condition, including organized shelves with labels, stocked packing materials and supplies, and clear aisles
The ideal candidate is meticulous and detail-oriented when handling a large volume of fragile and valuable items. Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, as the installation schedule depends on timely goods availability
- Conversational English proficiency
- Basic computer skills, including comfort with email, messaging platforms, and using computers, phones, or tablets to check information, photograph items, and complete digital checklists
Prior experience with linens and bedding at volume is advantageous, such as work in hotel housekeeping, commercial laundry or dry cleaning, vacation rental turnovers, or tailoring. Experience in home goods retail, visual merchandising, or warehouse operations is also relevant. No staging industry background is required, as the company provides on-the-job training.
The position is full-time at 40 hours per week, paying $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. Benefits include a 401(k) and health insurance. Work is performed on-site in San Jose, CA 95112.
